My recording of the Japan game ran out of time before the PKs
so have to watch it tonight. I thought the Spain-Portugal game was good one though.
Going to Semi's I think it will be:
Uruguay
Brazil
Germany (tough one to call though)
Spain
I want:
Uruguay
Dutch
Germany
Paraguay
After that I see the final being:
Brazil v. Spain (more experience then Germans)
3rd Place:
Uruguay v. Germany
Want Final of: Uruguay v. Germany and 3rd place of: Dutch v. Spain/Paraguay

Interesting. Looks like FIFA will at least reopen consideration of technology after all.

Exciting match this morning (Brazil vs Netherlands) but wtf is with the Netherlands players never taking shots when they were right in front of the goal. It was absurd and culminated in 4 Netherlands players vs. 1 defender and 1 goalie in the goal box near the 90th minute and they can't even get a shot off.

the morning game was a good one, glad to see the Dutch beat Brazil (even if I would of bet on Brazil to do it). The afternoon match was another real close one and pretty dramatic.
The Dutch game, after they have up the goal to Brazil, I was feeling the Dutch just were not going to score, it seemed like anytime they had a chance it either got closed quickly, or they took too much time looking for the pass to where the shot was gone. After they got that first goal though, they seemed to pick-up their game and turned it around. talk about ****ing stupid by Felipe Melo though.
Uruguay, I had the same worry after that great strike by Muntari, could argue Muslera could of done better trying to save it but meh. The Forlan free-kick was insane though, started one way and changed directions, Kingson had maybe 5% chance at best to save that unless he got incredibly lucky. Got to feel bad for Gyan, had a chance to win it after Suarez's handball. Not sure he needed to do it, but if it is handball and a chance for the GK to save the penalty, it isn't the worse thing to do. Mensah's kick in the shootout was piss poor. Glad Uruguay won it, I'd love them to make the finals (or win it all) but wouldn't be too upset if the dutch knocked them out. It seems kind of like (from what I read) the 1950 cup where Uruguay were not really expected to do much, and ended up winning the whole thing (if i recall they weren't expected to do well)
