that was a good match, I'm a bit sad Uruguay didn't win, but the Dutch team has much more talent, and that helped them win it. I'd argue, based on performance, Uruguay is probably the 3rd best team in the tournament behind the Dutch and Germans (yes, I don't feel Spain been that impressive, though they could prove me wrong).
Game wise, I think we'd be able to say that whoever won it, deserved it. In this case, it is the Dutch.

the only excuse Spain has for their play is they have played some tough defenses. Though at the same time, I've seen more then a few times where against a better team they would have given up 2-3 goals. I think one of the things on the Bottom Line (the little bar on the bottom of ESPN) said the Spanish players (other then Villa) have 1 goal in 21 shots on target. Forget what Villa's numbers where, but they've been living off of him. Even Uruguay had at least 2 players that were doing it all (Suarez and Forlan)

a good sum-up of the Uruguay/Dutch match, that I agree with (well parts of it, I don't pay enough attention for all the tactical stuff, thats what sites like this are for :P)

Spain v Germany....
It was billed as the match of the tournament, these two great sides playing for all the glory....
It was some of the most boring games I've ever watched..... There was nothing that was interesting or exciting. There wasn't even that much creativity or flair....
Just boring, disappointing and dull as hell.
Here's hoping that the final has some more action.Last edited by Arreo; 07-07-10 at 03:29 PM.
