Re: Your parents' truck dies....
Now wait a min. Jersey shore was NOT jersey people. all those twats were from NY. None of those people on that show were from jersey, Cept the actual people who live at the shore and what not. Agreed about the guidos, but at least where im at i dont have to deal with all that crap. i just have to drive 45min to the shore for the day if i Really wanna go. Other than that the guidos stay away from me and i stay away from them. hahaha Eff u guys!!!!

Re: Your parents' truck dies....
WTF..are you serious!? I had to spend over a year in NJ after we acquired a company headquartered up in Wayne. Sheesh...there's definitely an accent and they let you know it WASN'T a "City" accent. I actually like the speed of conversation up there though...cause I naturally talk very fast so it nice not having to "wait" for someone to finish their thought...

sucks about it dying, had it happen to my car (engine just randomly died), but thankfully it seemed to bounce right back and didn't need to be towed/fixed (and was close enough to parents that could get help if needed AND it wasn't on the big city freeways
)

...400$ for a fuel pump to be replaced
What kinda car.....
Thats just riciulous, Fuel pumps are the single most easiest thing to put on a car urself and they cost 30bucks. im confused by that 400$ number. and rawr if u can do it urself id recommend that, theres no point in paying a mechanic 90$ an hour for 15min worth of work.

Re: Your parents' truck dies....
Maybe your thinking fuel filter. I have done 4 fuel pumps on 4 different vehicles, all were a two person job that took about 2-3 hours each. A couple of them were $60 one was $220.
Many fuel pumps now days are in the tank and require dropping the tank which is so easy since your fuel pump always wants to go out when you have a full tank. An in tank fuel pump done by a mechanic $400 sounds about right.
