How much does your favorate artist make

I do not buy albums anymore, here is why:

basically if you want to support your favorate artist, go ahead and go to there concerts, but if you want their songs, both itunes and the record store are robbing them. As much as I am a liberal, I must say that I have to feed my kids somehow is not a good enough reason to seek government protection for a completely broken business model.

This is actually quite interesting! I've always found that recording is more of a means of exposure and advertising for the shows; that's where the real money's made.

Oh yea, its no secret lol LOOK AT ME! hahahahhah....I have ZERO money...but have had 2 songs reach Music Row Top 40, toured the world, been to the ACM's, Had my picture on a digital walk over water thing at the MGM grand in Las Vegas, toured with the CBR, played COUNTLESS shows, been on COUNTLESS radio stations.... ahahhah..

The way courtney love put it is EXACTLY the way it is. The only detail she left out is...although you really do not make money, you do not spend any money either. While you are on the road, doing music tours or radio tours, everything is paid for (and eventually paid back). The kicker is, keep it up long enough to START making a profit.
