British Open Championship
Well needless to say the golf monster has me firm in its grip.
Sadly on top of playing 2x a week recently I am also watching and following pro golf now......
ANYWAY!
"Play continues at St. Andrews, where everyone is chasing Rory McIlroy, whose 63 tied the lowest round in major championship history. John Daly shot a 66 and Tiger Woods shot a 67."

Could John Daly actually win another Major? Can Tiger bounce back? I think this tournament is going to provide a lot of good viewing and some drama for sure..... Unless McIlroy runs away with it.... 9 under on 18 holes of golf.... ridiculous.
St. Andrews is beautiful. If I could play any course in the world I would want to play here.....

Re: British Open Championship
I am following it as well. The conditions today are right for scoring...but if that wind kicks up and it gets wet, my money is on the old guard (including Tiger) over Rory. Rory M. doesnt have quite the experience to tame that brute of a course under Major pressure.
I am rooting for Tiger...I figure, his personal conduct has nothing to do with his professional life and I think that Tiger at top performance is good for Golf.

10:04 a.m. Gusts at the 11th hole have been recorded blowing at 40 mph. That's good news for a kiteboarding competition, bad news for a golf tournament.

11:18 a.m. The Open at St. Andrews feels like a putting contest with the football field-sized greens. I'm surprised that Tiger changed putters the week of a major championship after playing with the same one for the last 11 years.

40 MPH!?! WTF, how do you compensate coming out of a bunker or a flop shot with that wind.
