Horse Fly Crusade

Alright, so my house has been invaded by horsefly's seemingly overnight. My mom has decided to kill every single one in the house, crazy as that sounds, and has been going around screaming "DIE, DIE YOU F@$#ERS!!!" for the entire time she has been home from work. Anyone have a good idea as to getting rid of them more efficiently then with a rolled up newspaper/towels? She suggested opening the doors, but I didn't think this would work. SO, anyone got a tip or anything useful? There at least 15 of them, maybe 20+. No clue how they got in.

Use a vacuum cleaner.

If the vacuum cleaner does not work break out the pump shotty.

Ya, but then broken glass and big holes in the house for MORE flies to come in through would only make more of a problem. I like the vacuum cleaner idea, and I would use it if the house didn't have huge ceilings that they simply fly up to -.- May give it a shot later tonight, waiting for Alien Swarm to DL.

Hmmm....

Well, a more effective way would be looking into using insect bombs. I know they make them for farm and house flies, so I'm sure they would probably work for horse flies as well. Buy quite a few (with the amount depending on the size of your house), gather up your house pets if you have any, set the bombs off, and come back like 4-6 hours later.

Either that or look into getting Raid or something, I guess. Maybe fly paper?

Yea Insect bomb or Fly trap would be good.

But yall might want to have your home inspected. You might have mold in ur house that is helping the breed.

My in laws had toxic mold in their home and it bred these Nats like crazy.

Golden Malrin = your best friend.

My girl and I have quite a bit of land in College Station and we have livestock, and also have problems with flies and what not. Use this, it works fucking wonders..

It says not to use it indoors, but we do... just make sure it doesn't come in contact with any animals (other than flies) and your food.. you will be fine.
