    Slashdot is like a mobile DDOS attack on anything and everything posted there. Now I want to try alien swarm but the download is going to take forever.

    Valve's blogs can do the same thing.

    Like with the fake TF2 updates posted a while ago, the site they linked to exceeded its bandwidth within a few hours.
