07-28-10, 04:32 AM #1Future Job in the Gaming Industry or Acting!
So I talked to my brother's friend today and has found out he is REALLY good friends with the owner of a highly-acclaimed Movie Studio here in Texas. He said he could possibly get a "hook-up" for me so that I may start acting. He will be my manager if I start this as a career. [Don't worry. I will still be around to chat and play in my free time if I make it big. I could never forget about TPG!!! Understanding, honorable, respectful, team players, comical, loyal, honest, and most of all, the greatest players the gaming industry could ever ask for.]
If that does not work out, I will still be attending college (not started yet) for a MASTERS degree in some sort of game creation stage. I will even start creating my own video games and mods/maps for popular games. And I will be taking requests and suggestions when this time comes so keep that in mind.
I will also be sure to give TPG a first-hand look at my own games and [if allowed] games I create with major companies. Whether it be demos or trailers. Stay strong my friends and fellow gamers. The gaming industry would be crap without people like us!
Thank you for your attention, comments, suggestions and time. Sincerely,
GringoLast edited by SumDumGringo; 07-28-10 at 04:58 AM. Reason: Spelling error

Oops. ^_^
Sorry its late. I'm sleepy. :P
And also not quite used to TPG. I typed TTP at first when I was typing all of that. Time to sleep. Too late for me.
**EDIT** And if I make it good within the gaming industry, I will also try to propose to my company about sponsoring TPG to get rid of these nasty ads.Last edited by SumDumGringo; 07-28-10 at 05:03 AM.

Not being a debbie downer, but dont trust "hook ups" no matter who it is, Most of the time they fall through, But god i hope it works out for you! One of my biggest dreams in my younger days was to be a video game tester/ designer/developer, Then i had my dream of being in the music industry, now im a cook. Lol...

Gringo, I have been in the entertainment business for about 7 years now. Let me tell you, it is a LONG hard road to fame and fortune. If I were you, I would do both. Do not put all your eggs in one basket. Pursue the degree while being very careful what jobs you pick as an actor. Make sure they are credible and worth your time.

The decision lies in the primal instincts of early man, that have been passed down millions of generation across multiple continents, some of which no longer exist. The same reason the French talk in that weird language, the Italians make fast cars, and the Japanese have weird game shows.
Which will get you more Poon?

The hook-up is for the acting.
Oh I know. I am gonna continue through college no matter what until I get my masters degree in something. :P
Hmmmm... Well acting would definitely get me more if I were to become famous. But even if I were to gain a job in the gaming industry with a masters degree, I would make at least $60k a year. Hoping $100k+. So that would still get me laid a lot just for making a shit ton of money. LMAO!! X)
