Cannot get a break

So over the last month, ive truely discovered the shit-hole predicament that is my current hardware setup.

Today, i discovered, that even though i am running a 64bit operating system and have 4gb of ram installed. Only half has been available. True my fault for not enabling hardware memory hole. But upon doing so, my Creative Xfi platnum fails to work, or more so REFUSES. Just pure static on boot, some times i can twist settings and the card goes silent, or the card just sounds a long high pitched ring/beep/sound. Upon heavily looking into the issue. Its the card-itself and shitty drivers, and a very, very well know problem. The 'solution' is this: have 4gb of ram, and no sound card, or a sound card and less than 4gb of ram.
Amongst 132 pages, in really, really small font, my motherboard's manual notifies me that if my computer has two dual-gpu cards installed, one will be heavily clocked down (ie clocked down so far you mise as well not even have it installed). Awesome, that explains the lack of performance boost when i upgraded from 2X 7800gtx's to 2X 9800gtx's.
When CSS and HL2 first came out, my computer could easily, EASILY maintain over 80fps on maxed settings and during intense firefights. Now my computer struggles to maintain even 20 frames, and ive upgraded the cpu (from single core 2.4ghz, to a dual core 2.4ghz), and upgraded gpu's. Pathetic. So, I've looked into this.... and looked into it.... and looked into it.... and looked into it. It turns out... its my internet connection, road runners fucking me (big surprise from the recent throttling ive received) and my only alternative is DSL! Jeez, talk about fucked there. To prove my point, i took my box down to my universities comp sci building and plugged in. Nice 120 frames on our css servers... got back home... 34 fucking frames... da-fuck.

At this point i should be glad things are just running. Head set is dying (I've resoldered the living piss out of it, could'nt get mic to work again, so ive been using my webcam's mic), mouse died (waiting on replacement from logitech). Had the recent hardrive fiasco. I hate to see what's next Q_Q.

Never say that! Doing so will cause the universe to conspire against you to make it happpen. When shit keeps happening like that just remember that shit usually dries out. Go with the flow. You may be up the creek without a paddle right now, but you'll eventually be able to walk out of it.

You could also try to sell your sound card and get a new one that won't have an issue with your 4GB or ram.
