The Phillies are looking pretty solid right now and have home field advantage as long as they don't get bumped out. Can't wait... and really hoping that the Yankees play the Rangers in the AL so that Cliff Lee can go to town again.

I never did understand that. How can one conference force pitchers to hit, but the other doesn't have to make their pitchers hit.....Seems odd to me. Then again, it's baseball...none of it makes much sense.

there was a vote back in the 70's for the NL to adopt the DH rule as well. If I remember correctly it failed by two votes, and the last two guys to vote were from Pittsburgh and I believe Cincinatti. I like the DH rule cuz it forces pitchers to face 9 batters and not 8 with a guaranteed out in the 9th spot about 90% of the time.
