[NFL] Guess who won by looking at QB stats.

It's no secret in the NFL that teams live and die by the QB position. In fact, you can almost always look at the stat sheet and already know which team won just by examining the two QBs. I have chosen 4 games where I want you to look at the numbers each QB puts up and then choose who won and the reason why (better TD/INT ratio, more yards, better completion %, etc). By the way, that reason you choose applies to all four. You DO NOT pick a reason for each game. On Sunday morning I will reveal who won and the stat that shows why they all really won. To make things interesting, I'll look at the box score of each game this week and keep tabs on how accurate that stat was in determining the outcome.

Well i still don't completely understand, but i'm interested. I pick QB's 1-A, 2-B, 3-B, 4-A.

If I understand the game correctly then I will go with the QB with the fewest pass attempts in each game. In game 1, since it was a tie, I will go with B since the threw a TD. Usually throwing a lot of passes means you are behind.

Now tell me why you picked those QBs to win. For example, if I believe the QB with the most passing yards usually turns out to be the winner, then I choose 1-A 2-B 3-A 4-A. Let's say this was true. This means come gameday, I will look at all the games played and tally up how well that stat worked out.

According to Kerry J. Byrne over at coldhardfootballfacts.com, ypa is one of the best indicators of success. Teams who win that stat battle will usually win 70% of the time.

. With ypa it's the same thinking you had, teams behind abandon the run and just start tossing it.
