Can't get rid of notifications

It bugs the crap out of me, sure it doesn't really matter (except if I get a PM, then I don't notice it sometimes) but it just bugs me to have that Notifications: 2, and not be able to do anything about it.

Apparently there is no-way to get rid of them either, as I've asked a couple times about it and just been given the silent treatment on the issue

yes I'm kind of OCD about it, but the same with having new posts, can't stand having them.

I only get that if I get a PM and close the popup. It will stay until I go to the notifications and mark items as read. It makes sense that way.

click on the down box next to the notification highlight. what kind is it? I bet its friend notifications. Or its pm's burried in your inbox. Can't get rid of notifications-notifications-png

No its Group Join Requests before I passed leadership to someone else, I didn't accept/deny the joins before hand and they never have gone away (and i can't get rid of them as I don't have permission to access the page to add/deny people).

EDIT: Plus those people were already accepted in (I know becasue all our members are in the group)

then perhaps get yourself back as a group leader, and clear it out, and then leave the group leadership again? talk to the current group leader to do that.

Then thats a bug with vb and needs to be reported if it hasnt already been fixed by the recent patch (yet to be applied).

Interestingly though, it may actually clear itself out over time...
