Re: 'Hook 'em Horns' drew flag, not leapfrog, Cowboys told
the reason why the horns sign got flagged is that it was 2 of them that did it in a choreographed or planned celebration. Williams wasnt the only one that did the hook em horns sign, it was the other receiver just off to his left that stood by him and did it as well. Since it was 2 of them and it was a planned celebration, it got flagged.

the problem with these two is that they did it in the end zone. most of the players that do the chest bumps and shit like that are doing it on the sideline and not on the field of play. idk its the NFL and their weird rules. Dont celebrate on the playing field or end zone, but take it to the sidelines and its ok.

That's just it, let the refs make the common sense call on these. A chest bump in the end zone causing a guy to fall isn't excessive celebration. Neither is two players making the "hook 'em horns" hand gesture.
Using props would be an obvious call, whether its just the ball or outside props (ie, Future HOF jackets, cell phones, signs stating pleas to not be fined for the sign).
The rules regarding excessive celebrations are unnecessary. Let the refs make the judgment.
Do either of these two strike you as excessive? The second isn't an endzone celebration, but is still subject to excessive celebration rules.
The second video isn't the best, but after a sack, he kneels and makes motions similar to roping a calf.
IMO, neither are excessive, at least no more than the Lambeau Leap or dunking the ball through the uprights. If you were to get multiple teammates doing the same thing, probably. But I don't have an issue with either in their own right.
If they really have an issue with Colombo falling after the touchdown, they should also be cracking down on players kneeling to give thanks to their chosen god after a touchdown. Same rules, right?

Its the NFL, it is about the spectators, all for show, an entertainment thing. Well that is what funds it... I as a fan want to see some more ridiculous celebrations, I remember the good 'ol dirty bird, and things of the like, made for a humorous addition to an exciting play. Scoreing a touchdown in the NFL is hard, as long as the celebration isn't wasting a bunch of time, or derogatory towards someone/thing, it should be fine. Let the guy celebrate his achievement in a reasonable fashion. The NFL's no celebration rules are ridiculous and just a waste.
