If young kids or teenagers use video games as an excuse to act violently then they have something wrong mentally in the first place. Like everyone else is saying video games are FICTION! Just because you get to drive drunk and kill anyone you want in GTA doesn't mean your going to go out into the real world and do the same...unless your fucked up in the head in the first place. Passing this law will only make these games more desirable to play by young people. Remember prohibition? And every other substance not allowed.

I don't understand based on the quote in the OP alone, how this is "more like pornography and less like movies." You have to be 18 (ok, 17) to buy an R-rated movie, right? I don't really see what the big deal is. If you're a kid, and your parents are ok with it, then you're fine. If your parents aren't ok with it, then you're screwed with or without the "ban."
