You goto a new chiropractor and the results are not good...

I've have recurring semi-cronic neck pain associated with years of contact sports and bad posture (including right now, as I type this). I was going to one chiro who was sort of a dick...she would give me a hard time for not coming often enough, call my house and send me junk mail, etc...annoying, so I quit going.

Well, the neck flared up again after months of air-travel and unfamiliar hotel beds and on and on and on.

I got a recommendation from a woman at my office and went to this new guy today. First, he's great. Very funny and laid back and not pushy..the oposite of my old chiro...

He did test after test on my neck, does this hurt, hows this, what about here, etc etc....everything was bad. He kept saying "Oooh, I dont like that...oooooh, that's not great news......oh man, ouch..." It SUCKED.

Basically, my neck is really FUBAR. He's hoping I dont have to have surgery but for a Chiro of all people to suggest that that may be necessary in the long run, is significant...chiros never suggest surgery...He got me straightened out today but I'll be back...

anybody else with bad neck pain? Any suggested stretches?

I'd try yoga. When I was in the mental institute, my roommate led yoga stretches that anyone could do (no looking like a pretzel). The stretches really helped the women in the group who had back pain. It also helps me when I have occasional back pain. We're talking instant relief.

Here's some ones from a Google search. Ouch! Neck Pain? Five Simple Yoga Stretches To Ease Pain and Tension in Your Neck and Shoulders

I would, however, recommend showing your Chiro the stretches (print them out and take them in) so he can okay them.
enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P
