if it make you feel any better norton sucks om macs too, we had this one old laptop that bounced all the way down the food chain to my sisterand i never could quite get rid of the norton on it, tracked every file i could see being accessed and couldn't kill the bugger.

Man, I want to kill McAfee at the moment too... I accidentally installed that stupid McAfee quick scan program when I installed something else (forgot to hit the NO check-box).. I uninstalled the program but I still have that fucking McAfee Agent that I can't get rid of no matter how many services I stop / kill. I'm tempted to just give up and leave it.

here is a tip from the Windows 95 days. Go to the search file tool, type Mcaffe and delete all files.

This is what i have been using for a while now. I was using a security suite that comes with my ISP and the thing wouldn't catch anything even though it would update like every 15 minutes.
