    Remote car starters?

Does anyone have experience with brands or the difficulties of installing them?

As it creeps up towards winter here in the Midwest, I'm very seriously considering getting a remote starter to warm the car up in the mornings.

And then I see this deal on Slickdeals and it makes me wonder... Viper 5701 2 way alarm + starter 2 remotes sale

Eh. I dont want any more electronics in my car than it already has.... I like my non power everything :P

But to answer you're question you could do a couple review searches on each model. Go down to your local car toys and see what they have to say. My brother has used about 6 systems made by Clifford and really likes em. Enjoy!

    Re: Remote car starters?

Arreo - that's a pretty smoking deal. I may pick one up for my wife's car as well, so....thanks!

It's a pretty basic install (for any remote start) and although I have never owned a Viper, I've done a few of these installs and it didn't take too long or any extensive electrical knowledge. Usually the instructions provide more than enough info. to justify doing it yourself.
