Any have suggestions on what might work well wtih type 1 diabetes.. being new to this all I've been told is eat low sugar less then 60 carbs a meal 3 times a day with possible snacks in between each meal of maybe 15carbs a piece.. I'm/was a big guy used to eating whatever and how much I wanted but at this point I don't care, I just want to be full.. that's all and I'm apparently not that good at picking low carb choices other then bacon and eggs which I have yet to master sadly enough.. any and all ideas appreciated

yeh dude, +1 to Coyotes comment. Consult with a dietitian that has experience in the diabetic field. My uncle had Type 1, horrible eating habits, died a couple years ago with complications. Shit is no joke dude.
natural foods is the way to go for most anything. I was diagnosed with Crohn's several years ago and even though I ate "relatively" healthy, I'm much better off now than I ever was now that i make an effort to eat lots of natural foods (raw veggies/fruits/etc). You even have to be careful with that though with diabetes...cause they all contain their own sugars which breakdown different ways.Last edited by K0nTANK3Rous; 11-10-10 at 02:20 PM.

thanks for the suggestions so far folks, Tank check to see if you can have yourself tested for celiac disease.. my mother btw was told she had krohn's for 40 years and developed a skin thing that a doctor was able to confirm as celiacs (intolerance to wheat) she cut back on that and the symptoms of krohn's went away.., you know Festus he needs a website and youtube videos and all that as well as the forums I think..heh
