Snow!!

It was raining most of the day yesterday and then snowed for about 30 min at nite. Nice black ice weather conditions... Of course had two parties to go to so the fiance and I were driving all around the Chicagoland area. Didnt have one problem slipping until we were about 1/2 mile from home when I skidded right through a stop sign into the lane of an oncoming semi. Luckily he was paying attention and swerved into oncoming traffic to avoid me. Luckily nobody was hit but he missed us probably by about a foot...

We got some snow yesterday / last night. Ended up with like 3 - 4 inches of accumulation which isn't that bad, but knox county has like all of 3 snow plows and just drives around salting roads instead. I drove home from a friends house and was fine on the salted shit, but once I hit the ghetto that I use as a shortcut I slid around 4 - 5 times, it was not pretty. At one point some dumbass decided to go like 30 into a stop and was careening right at me, I managed to dodge, spun out and slid into a light pole. Lucky for me I hit it very gently (had just about stopped at that point) and took no damage but it was scary as shit. I grew up driving in snow and I'm usually fine, but I'm more afraid of all the assholes that have no clue what they are doing. Driving up to my dad's office today will suck.
