Re: So.. I was just curious...
dogs also are a pack animal, when kept alone they may be the nicest dog with no aggression, put them with 5 other dogs and they can completely change. Lots and lots of factors. Pits can be aggressive in pairs, but separated neither one will attack. Circumstances.

Re: So.. I was just curious...
I have a 5 year old pit.... nicest dog I've ever had. Is good with everyone from old people to youngsteres. He is also great with other dogs. He just wants to play all the time. If it ever happens and someone comes in my front door acting suspicious, I know damn well he's gonna protect me. I've had him since he was 6 weeks old.
Its all in how their raised, as with most dogs. You raise em to be mean and vicious to anyone or anything thats the way they'll be.

That was from about a half dozen links I posted earlier if you had cared to read the entire thread you would've known that.Don't assume someone ripped off some story with no link and as I stated before get you all the pit bull's you want I could give a damn but just keep in mind how passive they are when the next news story comes out about another child killed by the bastards. The point I'm making is any dog, at anytime can be deadly...so can horses, so can bulls, so can any other animal. People like deputy doofus (haha) :-) though seem to think that because they hear about pitbulls more, they are more deadly. Deputy, you really sound ignorant when u say things like pits are dangerous. Until you have owned one, you hold no credibility

Re: So.. I was just curious...
Jesus Christ, you guys will argue about anything.
This thread serves to illustrate only two axioms:
1. A good animal, raised with love and care, will be a good animal.
2. A bad animal, raised with ignorance and fear, will be a bad animal.
That's it. Any singular examples or opinions, on either side are completely irrelevant. It doesn't matter one whit that you've got just the sweetest dog in the universe that would never harm anyone. It doesn't excuse the bad examples of the breed. It doesn't matter one iota how many horrible vicious abused jaws-with-a-dog-attached you've had to deal with. It won't include those dogs that are decent, loving pets.
I'm going to remind everyone, especially the slow Texan in the back, that this is OTS and that treating fellow posters like shit and slinging insults is not going to be tolerated. You wanna debate the merits of dog breeds and talk like you've bookmarked all the 4-letter words in your dictionary, go over to NPROHD.
The OP, in case you forgot is not "what dog should I get", or "pits are dangerous". it is "have you ever owned a wolf and are they decent pets". Try to stay in the original line of the OP.
