Yet another 2142 gadget makes it into Real Life - Infantry Sensor sorta
Too freakin cool. First we had reports of the 2142 Assault/Medic AR complete with Range Control rockets/changes making it past the digital fictional barrier a few months back.
Now, we've got something eerily similar to the 2142 Support Infantry Sonar making it in (albeit not motion aware but audible/gunshot)
US Army to deploy Individual Gunshot Detector, essentially a radar for bullets -- Engadget
Deploying to Afghanistan shortly.
As laggy says, "Where's the minimap?"
