Thread: Kanati's Movie-o-meter #5 - Your Highness

So... Danny McBride... What can I say? If you've ever seen East Bound and Down you will know what to expect.

It's a fantasy movie about quests, dragons, minotaurs, maidens... And yet it's peppered with drugs, fuck jokes, and anachronistic dialog.

Usually this type of movie doesn't do much as far as special effects, relying heavily on the stars and their juvenile humor. Not this one, wizard fling fireballs and magic spells with little regard for the budget. That's both good and bad. Frankly the movie is about the humor. It makes no pretenses about what it is. It's a giant dick joke wrapped in a pretty package. The special effects don't add to that much, but it does distract from the poor dialog and acting at times.

Natalie. Portman's. butt. That's all that need be said.

I can't say I didn't like it. I like a good dick joke as much as anyone. And to tell the truth, there was a few moments of pure comedic genius. But make no bones about it. If you aren't into purile humor... Don't bother with this one.

No offense kanati, but Jason is right. This is why I normally don't pay attention to reviews because everyone has their own taste.

Never suggested otherwise... If you like dick jokes... This movie is right up your alley. If you don't... not so much.
