I don't read alot of books but the first show was good. Cannot believe that ahole just tossed that kid out the window....

I'm in the process of re-reading the first 4 books in preparation for the 5th book's release in July. Thus far it's very well done. Can't wait for the next 9 episodes and hope it gets picked up to continue on after this season.

I'm on the third one right now, the books are awesome an the show seems to be doing well keeping with the book at this point (thanks to Martin being so involved)

Read all the books.

I saw the episode last night and I loved it. HBO makes quality shows and this one was right up there with Rome in terms of production quality. The title sequence alone gave me a nerd orgasm.

I have not read any of the books, but I think I would like the genre. I usually look for epic fantasy books. Don't know if this is a stupid question, but if I enjoyed the Lord of the Rings books, would these books kind of be in the same ballpark?

I watched the first episode last night and also enjoyed it a lot. Sean Bean is a badass and I'm looking forward to where this story is going...and all the nudity and sex.
