Need some help with Emailing costomers!

I own a Oilfield business and just lately I've had a family problem... My newborn baby, (to make a long story short) had inhaled a lot of fluids and ended up popping a hole in her lung causing her lung to collapse forcing air between her lung and her ribs. Which forced her lung into her heart and caused her heart to reverse blood flow. She was one step away from last opportunity to save her. She was in the NICU for 3 weeks and now doing great!!!

To what I was needing help with now... Daughter was in the NICU for 3 weeks and I wasn't up to doing anything with my business... It's a new business and I had got over 10 calls while I was there and had to turn down all of them.. I'm looking for a good way to say I'm still really interested in having them as a costumer without acting to pushy on getting another job lined up with them.

What way should I go about telling them I want a job after turning them down?

I'm wanting to email them this afternoon, PLEASE HELP!

EDIT: To add to my post, The company that I'm really wanting to get in with already has a company thats been doing there work for over 2 years with no problems. But recently this company raised there prices outrageously and this is a great opportunity for my company to take over. But they (the company I'm wanting to get in with) are very scared to try a new company out. If they would give me just ONE chance I can show them that they didn't make a mistake on giving us a chance! I'm very good at what I do and have been doing it since I've got out of school..

I would be honest. Family comes first and you were there for your daughter, thanks to prayers and great doctors your child is now on path to recovery and you feel that at this time you can now put full effort into taking on new customers. Let them know that you turned them down at the time because you were preoccupied and could not 110% take care of there needs, but now you are prepared to do so.

I agree with Flame. You don't necessarily have to go into details, but if you let them know you weren't working because you were in in the NICU with your newborn then most will understand. If they don't then you probably don't want to work for them anyway.
