A few months back I had noticed my Power steering was over filled (thanks to the oil change place) so I siphoned it down to a normal level. Figure the fluid had leaked onto the belt so tried cleaning it off with some belt conditioner stuff, didn't make any difference with the noise (it was a long shot).
Deciding on whether to run it until it explodes (again) or try to sell it as is. =(
as a gamer you should know the right thing to do is take that sunvabitch and enter a demolition derby !

i mentioned the tensioner pully early on. the reason i mentioned this is because if the tensioner is not applying the adquent tension to the belt it can cause other components like your altenator for example to sqeal.

thought you would have checked that already being it was mentioned on the first page......

But none the less good luck finding your issue.

Trinity i should have given you a little tip about how to track down moise issues. Get a cheap radiator hose and use it like a stethascope. It makes narrowing down the issue easier.

You can do this with PVC pipe as well. Or use a screwdriver and hold it to your ear and touch the other end to the engine somewhere.

I must say good point. Im just so use to doing it with a PVC pipe I never thought of using a rad hose. Probably not as sharp of noises either since it's rubber.
