    They are 3-1 right now and two games up on a very weak division. I don't see SF getting the first pick this year.

    Probably not, but was really just pointing out that having selected a QB in this draft won't prevent many teams from selecting Andrew Luck in the next one, because if you got a marginal one and are presented with someone who is very likely going to be a franchise QB, you drop the marginal one and pick up your QB of the future. Makes the most sense in the case of the Vikings, but makes just as much sense if the Niners somehow end up with the first pick because Kaepernick and Ponder have decent upside, but nowhere near the type of upside that Luck has. Really, the only QBs this year I would consider to be 100% safe so far are Dalton and Newton. Gabberts looked fairly shaky so far (and his drafting coach may not be around next season anyways) and Locker needs a lot of work to be a true franchise QB.
