Re: Soo.... Any photographers out there?
Thanks guys! I've got more but I don't want to be a thread hog. Post those photos!
I really like that leather work, Irishrice. You should showcase that! As far as taking photos of your stuff--you could easily build a very cheap lightbox (or even buy a cheap one at Wal-mart -- about $50) to really show it off.
EDIT: I forgot to answer your question, Shinobi. The first two I took just north of the airport I work at here in central Wyoming, and the last is from the mountain behind my house here.....Last edited by Cloudfish; 07-29-11 at 11:22 AM.

Nice photos, guys! One of these days I hope to have enough time to really learn the art of photography. Photos like these keep my interest up.

Yeah---I kind of know what you mean. While we (obviously) have them, they are few and far between where I live. Travel 60 miles east and they're more frequent. If the timing is right (time of day, work schedule, etc.) I'll chase them--to a point, since gas is so damned expensive. That last lightning photo I chased until 3am.
About a month ago we had a tornado warning (rare here) and I decided to chase it. But then I got into the hail and had to stop for a while because I thought my windshield was going to break. It was only luck that it didn't dent up my beautiful truck. Here in WY the roads are few and far between, and distance is measured in time. Once the storm moved away from my area I stopped and waited for the right light. They're not spectacular photos, but this is what I saw....
