Re: Soo.... Any photographers out there?
Il have to go and pick up my camera... I bought it on a whim and have had alot of fun with it, messing with the ISO and manual settings are alot of fun but havnt picked up any techniques on how to take nice shots. Mostly I use it with the work I do at church so its pretty limiting on the time I have to take and frame a shot and the stuff I take pictures of :P

Re: Soo.... Any photographers out there?
Looks like this thread is dying...so here's a few more of mine to see if bumping it will generate any more interest.
Additionally, I've got a question for you guys. I bought a Canon 7D yesterday (upgrade from the 40D). As much as I want a full frame camera I just can't justify the cost yet--plus I figured what I "saved" I could put into a better quality lens. I'm currently shooting with a Canon 17-85 as my walk around lens (also have 70-200L, 28-135, and 50). I would really like to get a quality wide angle lens--at least wider than 17--considering the 1.6 crop factor of these cameras. I almost pulled the trigger on a 15-85, but 2mm won't make a huge difference, and from looking at reviews the quality isn't that much better than the 17-85.
Ideally I'd like another "L" lens, but I'm trying not to spend more than (*gulp*) $1000. At this point I've read so many reviews that I'm starting to confuse myself. Any suggestions?

As far as getting a wide angle lower than 15mm and staying under 1000$..... you basically have to give up on canon branded lenses. There are a number of comparable third party lenses that have what you want.
Me on the other hand, I am saving up for that new canon lens that just came out.
