Tempted to go with Notch on this one. People always make a big deal out of new technology when it's beginning to have its first possible applications, but they always focus on what it could eventually be and don't really notice all the drawbacks. Animation seems like one of the biggest hurdles in this case, and that's not a small issue.

Hm.... That guys voice sounds so annoying. It's really... fake?
But I highly doubt that Crytek will use it that. I mean Crytek has their own engine (CryEngine 3), not to mention it looks stunning. The DX11 update makes Crysis 2 look WONDERFUL! Also there is Unreal Engine 3.
However I think the Console games would probably like to utilize that tech. It'll be interesting to see if any developers utilize it.

...and they still cant render bodys of water right.
two things, there are already better looking prospects on the horizon. and we will have the GFX power to run them in like 4 yrs..or less.
seems like im always upgrading now, bf3 worked my brand new rig i5k-2000ddr3-570 and it was maxed 2cores/gfx 95% out. I was vsync'ing 60 FPS but anything less then a 48o is gonna lurch, cough and weeze its way thou. as it is now im upgrading almost every 18 months.
sidenote: I have a e8400/mushkin redline ddr2 FS pm me.Last edited by 619summon; 08-04-11 at 12:32 PM.
