When he said "I'll never do another movie without 3D again." I lost a lot of respect for him.(recently said that during Alien filming) Don't get me wrong he's a great director, but I mean really? I'm slightly worried about his movies now.

Any remake of bladerunner is going to ruin it for me. There is a reason they call em cult classics an I don't see any studio paying a boatload of money for something that isn't going to shoot for mass appeal.

    Re: Bladerunner: Revisited

The one thing that will never be achieved by film makers again is the "filth" that film reels add to a movie. A lot of movies from the 80's and 90's that took place in the future (and just in general) had a very grimmy/dirty look that added or provoked a certain feeling within the movie. Now a days with digital camera's everything is clean, even if you film in a sewer. The time period held within Blade Runner was portrayed as pretty shady/dark/dirty/etc, one of the qualities that made it a good movie... for me.
