08-18-11, 02:39 PM #3Any remake of bladerunner is going to ruin it for me. There is a reason they call em cult classics an I don't see any studio paying a boatload of money for something that isn't going to shoot for mass appeal.

The one thing that will never be achieved by film makers again is the "filth" that film reels add to a movie. A lot of movies from the 80's and 90's that took place in the future (and just in general) had a very grimmy/dirty look that added or provoked a certain feeling within the movie. Now a days with digital camera's everything is clean, even if you film in a sewer. The time period held within Blade Runner was portrayed as pretty shady/dark/dirty/etc, one of the qualities that made it a good movie... for me.
