Re: On your feet all day? Have any advice?
I will recommend staying away from any catapiler boots. I've been wearing boots since i was 19 and had some i didn't like or just weren't comfotable but those boots were by far the biggest pieces of shit i ever spent 150 bucks on. I needed a new pair of steel toes for a job and after 4 hours i could barely walk. I had to tell the GC either my non steel toes go back on or you can find a new crew.
I will recommend hytechs. Best boot i've bought so far. They were 200 but water proof and comfortable as hell.

If you want tennis shoes, I would highly suggest Asics or New Balance...Nike is waaay over rated....ask most runners..
As for boots, Ive owned many many pairs of boots, and this pair of Bates is by far the most comfortable next to these Oakleys.
Bates Footwear GX-8 GORE-TEX® Side-Zip Boot Black - Zappos.com Free Shipping BOTH Ways
Oakley SI Assault 6" Boot '11 Black - Zappos.com Free Shipping BOTH Ways
However in the medical field, I could see the use of boots if you were an EMT...but if youre only indoors, tennis shoes would best suit you..

Barefoot shoes don't have much, if any, support. As a result, you start using muscles you aren't used to when on your feet. The benefit is that once those muscles strengthen up, you are now walking, standing, etc. how your body was designed to.
