The Future of Peyton Manning.....
So I just saw this article on cnn.com: Experts caution against stem cell treatments abroad - CNN.com
Apparently Peyton has been flying to Europe to seek experimental stem cell treatments for his neck. Something tells me we may never see him on a football field again.

We might not see Manning on the field again, but I don't think it would be because of the stem cell treatments. I think it would be more along the lines of him not coming back because his neck problem doesn't seem to be going away, and that's not something you really wanna mess with long-term.

Re: The Future of Peyton Manning.....
If I've noticed anything from watching him on field, and listening to interviews I have say it's going take something drastic to keep him away from football. I mean if a doctor tells him he runs the risk of becoming a paraplegic I'd say that's only way he stays off the football field.

Re: The Future of Peyton Manning.....
I've actually had a Fusion done in 2004 from a hurniated disc in c6-c7 in my neck. Right above where Manning had his done. I still feel pain and wish I was still able to get meds for the strain and stress. It had been 7 years and I still would never play a contact sport having this surgery. There is no way Manning is coming back for at least another 4-5 weeks. By that time the colts will be 0-7 or 1-6.

Re: The Future of Peyton Manning.....
At least the stem cells are his own. Therefore, there is no chance for rejection, but yeah, there is no guarantee it will work. Yet, if I were him and football was my whole life and I loved the game as much as he does, im sure I would go to any length to get better too. Neck and back surgeries never truly heal. Once you have an injury like that, you're pretty much screwed for the rest of your life. However, in the defense of stem cells, google "The Berlin Patient", or the story about the boy who received donor bone marrow stem cells that saved from a sure death from leukemia, or the articles about how scientists are using stem cells to grow organs in a lab. Anyway, i hope Manning gets better. Cause if he never got to step on a football field again it would crush him.
