Hey all!

Just thought I'd start a thread for individuals with tattoo's if anyone is interested.

Talk about ones you plan to get, wish you could get, or have!

Post pics of them if you'd like or simply describe them and always give us the meaning behind them, and if not that the story as to how they came to be!

I'll start with...

I've always grown up with people who have tattoo's and such. My parents have personally always disliked them, though my grandpa from Poland (dad's side) had tattoo's all along his arms. I guess it's just part of the culture/society I've grown up with! That lead me to planning my first tattoo of an eagle (representing the Pollock in me) and a Filipino sun in the background which is located on my chest.

I have another tattoo coming up on Friday in honor of my brother who passed away prematurely, Leon, which will be a baby angel carrying a scepter and shield. On my right shoulder which blends into my eagle and sun tattoo.

And finally in the future I plan on getting a piece located on my back between my shoulders that includes a Buddha on the left, a heart in the middle saying mom+dad, and a Virgin Mary on the right. Over the heart will be the unity symbol and a circled dot. On the bottom left of the Buddha will be lilies, while on the bottom right of the Virgin Mary will be roses. This piece as you can guess is for my parents. Surprisingly the Buddha statue is in honor of my dad and his interest in a variety of religions, cultures and metaphysical studies - while the Virgin Mary represents my mother and strong belief in the Catholic faith and her conservativeness.

I love tattoo's as an art form and an expression of the self. What better things do you have to do with your skin anyways!
