My Older Sister's Boyfriend :(
About 2 weeks ago, my older sister's boyfriend came down with a severe case of pneumonia. Since then, complications in treatment and diagnosis (as well as infections) have led him very near to death several times over. My sister has had to cancel her meetings leading up to receiving her doctorate in order to be near to him. Her boyfriend's family has also been taxed severely by this ordeal, which has been lengthy and painful in far more ways than one.
Now he is likely to be transported to Baltimore for a possible double lung transplant, as his current hospital is out of options for treatment. The transport is likely to be very dangerous for him, as he has been in a medically induced coma for precisely the reason of limiting his movement as much as possible. His problems have included, at some points, losing up to a gallon of blood a day and requiring massive transfusions and machine-filtered blood (the blood loss was thankfully stymied just two days ago).
I am respectfully asking that any readers keep him, his family, and my sister in their thoughts and/or prayers at this time. Any gesture of solidarity or support is helpful to him, my sister, and both of our families. I am counting on your maturity and respect. Thank you.TF2 Backpack: http://www.tf2items.com/profiles/76561197992443726

@ DR: Thank you sir, it's appreciated.
@ Dusty: thank you very much ma'am!
@ DJ: Indeed. Pneumonia was only the precursor to Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS) in his case. We're hoping for the best.TF2 Backpack: http://www.tf2items.com/profiles/76561197992443726
