Preserving flowers

They are some flowers that are inside of a miniature pumpkin. (Pumpkin is practically the vase for the flowers). The fiancee wants to preserve it like that.

I was asking what kind as some flowers respond better (from the little I read) to different techniques of preserving. I was under the impression you wanted to preserve as an arrangement. The difficulty in that is that in order to preserve it well, most techniques remove moisture, meaning that, ideally you'd want to keep it in something that would keep the moisture out. Let me know what type of flowers they are and I'll see what I can find out tonight when I get off work.

If it is a live pumpkin, that could make things more difficult as well as, essentially you'll have to find a way to preserve that as well.
