Freegal
Thought I would pass this along. I recently found out that my local library offers a service through their website called Freegal. Freegal is a database of music like itunes and once every 5 days I can download 5 free songs which I get to keep (just like itunes). If you like music check with your local library's website to see if they offer this service. It may be under their "online databases" section. All you have to do is type in your library card number and then you can get what you want. The selection is pretty bangin and you basically get a new album for free every couple of weeks. And by free I mean you pay for it with taxes / millage / whatever your local government uses to fund the library.

Re: Freegal
Yeah library service can be pretty surprising. In addition to Freegal I also use the library to check out Ebooks to my Ereader without ever actually going in through the Overdrive service (Overdrive can also be used to stream video). There is a free database at my library called Mango Languages which is basically a free Rosetta Stone service where you can learn a number of languages (I'm learning Spanish because I want to move to Colorado, but you can also learn anything from Russian to Pirate) We have a database on how to fix anything on any car. And a ton of other bitching services. Not to mention books.
