    Oh, I was kidding . However, with hacks like this, how is any reasonable person expected to "secure" their wireless network.

    Hell, according to the article, you can't even use MAC address protection. The best wireless security is apparently not having wireless.

    My router is on the list but hell, I am in the country and none of these rednecks are sophisticated enough to do any of this.


    I haven't tried the DD-WRT it sounds interesting. I use to have a computer that ran IPCop as my router, it severed me well for 5plus years.

    You are correct because with wireless you do not control the physical media. But the convenience is nice and good security practices will defend against 99% of the threats. You are not stopping that 1% guy anyway.
