Windows Mouse Things: The MarkC Windows 7 Mouse Acceleration Fix

    This will help.

Also, try to use RAW input if the engine/game allows.
    We can do better.

Good idea bunni. I put myself in corners in CSS and L4d2 and measured with a ruler how many cm it took me to do an entire 360 on the x axis. I managed to get my games pretty darn close, at least to the point where I don't feel like my aim is terribly off when I switch. Thanks everyone for the info, and ideas.

It is too bad there isn't a program that will do this in game for you, because it is almost impossible to keep the mouse perfectly horizontal while doing it free hand. I actually found a program that is supposed to do this, but it didn't work for me. I was going to post the link, but all-be darned- if I can find it again.

Max-I use the raw setting whenever I can. Also I am running Vista, and am able to turn off acceleration with setpoint software for my G500 logitech. That should take care of it right?

Either way I was pleased with how my measured results felt when switching tonight. After playing two maps on CSS, I was able to switch to l4d2 and had a .63 accuracy on my first map. This is actually way better than I usually do when warmed up, let alone when adjusting to the next game.
Did I say that or was I just thinking it?
