256gb or 512gb SSD?
My laptop only has one bay for a hard drive, so I want at least 256 gb, but if anyone can sell me on a 512, I may fork out the cash. The price of SSDs keeps going down, but I can't keep waiting. Anyone have any suggestions? I've done some mild research and this one is my top choice:

Re: 256gb or 512gb SSD?
If it was myself i would go for the 256 for a laptop, if it was my primary gaming rig i would say the 512. SSD for laptops are very nice because one of the top failures in laptops are the HD's so that won't be an issue any longer. Of course not to mention it will be way faster than a standard 5400 rpm laptop HD. If this is your sole PC/Gaming laptop then go with 512.

Re: 256gb or 512gb SSD?
Thanks for the reply...I use my laptop mostly for work, entertainment, and video editing.....which means I would rather have more HD space. The thought of carrying around an external hard drive anytime I want to access old pictures, videos, or files for work is a turn off. If my laptop had 2 HD bays, then I would just have my OS on a small sized SSD and a huge 7200 rpm drive for the storage.....unfortunately I did not want an outrageously bulky laptop!
Im just not sure if 700 dollars is worth it.

Re: 256gb or 512gb SSD?
I have a 160gig in my gamer, and because all it does is game I have not filled it. However, I do clean it regularly because it has gotten close. My lappy also has 160gig SSD and I fill it regularly because I use the laptop for productivity, so it has loads of files moving through it. In the end I put 2 1tb drives in RAID1 in a NAS next to my router and I just sync all documents to that. My SSD's have not filled up since...

Re: 256gb or 512gb SSD?
I actually made a decision yesterday...went with the 512 ssd. I just can't say no to convenience and speed. I travel a lot and do not want to lug around an external and never want to feel limited by my hard drive space. Its def the most expensive upgrade I have done in 3+ years, but I know I made the right decision. Thanks for everyone's opinion! Oh, and here is what I ordered (will be here tomorrow, <3 amazon prime and no tax!)
