Goodbye floor fan...your services are no longer needed
Just upgraded my Case, CPU, mobo, graphics card, and ram bitches...Happy early birthday to me
Newegg.com - Corsair Carbide Series 500R Black Steel structure with molded ABS plastic accent pieces ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Newegg.com - ASUS M4A87T AM3 AMD 870 SATA 6Gb/s ATX AMD Motherboard
Newegg.com - HIS H775F1GD Radeon HD 7750 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 3.0 x16 HDCP Ready Video Card
Newegg.com - AMD FX-8120 Zambezi 3.1GHz Socket AM3+ 125W Eight-Core Desktop Processor FD8120FRGUBOX
Newegg.com - CORSAIR Vengeance 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model CMZ8GX3M2A1600C9
I also remembered to go through TPG

Get this one instead, same price: Newegg.com - ASUS M5A97 AM3+ AMD 970 SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
I also wouldn't have went with corsair for budget ram, they tend to use crappy IC's on the mid-low range stuff. I recommend G.Skill if you are going to get 1600 CL9 stuff (what I have). They use high end IC's on their mid range lines. You can usually overclock / adjust timings to get speed equivalent of their higher ranges. But ultimately it is your choice.Last edited by rush2049; 02-18-12 at 06:07 PM.

Some asus am3 boards are upgradable to support some of am3+ 's features.... that one is not.
I think I remember somewhere reading on newegg's site about how they don't guaranty compatibility....-- Intentionally Left Blank --

You could've saved $10 with this ram:
Newegg.com - GeIL Enhance CORSA 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model GEC38GB1600C9DC
Corsair ram is over-hyped and overpriced.
