Thread: hard drive issue

yes i plugged it in the same way i have my old one plugged in right now. i'm gonna head into town and hit up a computer shop and see if the guy there can help me out tomorrow.

yup was a bad drive just sent it back so now i just gotta wait

yay new one came and and i got it installed all by myself i feel so accomplished! lol and yes i know its baby stuff to you guys but i have never done it so go to hell!

Most parts work that way anymore, if the plug fits it is usually good to go. Ahh back in the old days we had all kinds of jumpers and switches to mess with before plugging anything... I don't miss it.

Bah! Back in the day when men were men and they worked with jumpers and dip switches and other ancient shit!

Some pretty basic concepts to help

1. never plug anything inside the case with the computer on
2. if it feels like it doesn't fit, push just a bit more. If it still doesn't work don't push harder, you're probably doing something wrong
3. It's better to ask twice before you screw it up than once after you screw it up
4. RTFM. Yeah, they didn't spend the time to create manuals for people to not read them . And yeah, there usually crap but maybe they have something useful in them
5. You don't learn by not doing
6. Mistakes happen, use them to learn not unlearn.
