08-21-12, 01:01 AM #1Yet another headphone thread.
I considered getting a 2.1 speaker setup (don't have room to do a proper 7.1), but then I remembered I'm limited in the wattage area. So, I'm looking at some headphones not for gaming. I like my Vulcans for gaming, but I've been looking for some high impedance headphones for when I don't need a mic. These are the ones I'm looking at; not sure on which ones to get. My sound card card has an amp that can handle up to 600 ohms.

I love my Corsair 2.1 speakers. SP2500, I believe. I have some studio monitors, but I almost prefer the Corsair setup because of the sub.

What connections does the sp2500 use? I'm looking to use one for my ps3. If it can't do optical, then I'll need to get a receiver and a few extra hdmi cables.

Bah...only had the Asus Vulcans since June, and already, they're going. It's the connector where the cable plugs in...aggravating. Can still use my G35s right now, though.
I think I'm going to go for a pair of the Astro A40s (for the mic/ps3), and the sennheiser 650s. Was tempted to spring for the 800s, but...I can't bring myself to drop $1600 on a pair of headphones even if they would make sweet, sweet love to my ears.enf-Jesus its been like 12 minutes and you're already worried about stats?! :-P

Think I'm going to get the Sennheiser 650s and the astro a40s. Add in a wrist cushion for my mouse hand and a 27" monitor.
