Pc won't sleep on timer, but will manually?
Any ideas on what could be causing this? I have tried all of the power plans, setting each to default, and my hibernation file is still intact. I am stumped.

On a similar power related note, anyway to force my PC to low end settings for when im not home? I dont turn it off and have an issue where sometimes it goes to sleep and refuses to wake. But if I set the setting lower the powerdraw drops as well..

It's probably a program or service preventing automatic sleep.
To clarify on windows a program can yell windows not to sleep by telling it that the system is 'active so the sleep timer never starts

Re: Pc won't sleep on timer, but will manually?
I recall seeing something like that, off the top of my head it could be under the sleep settings (eg select power proile to use when sleeping) or it's more like under power management, might be a setting in power modes to use when sleeping, or there's a power profile for sleeping.
Ohhhhh wait, I think under each power profile on advanced settings where can specify power settings for specific devices and hardware there should be q section for sleeping.
