Screen Capture / Recording Program needed.

Don't want to hear about Xfire or Fraps.

Need a program to run in the background of games like BF3 and PS2 that I can hotkey to pictures and video captures.

Already TS overlay, other overlays won't work.

Well Fraps is what you're looking for, If you just want 1 min vids and screenshots. Just disable the FPS overlay.
I'm looking for some hard core 3 hour recording sessions. Light foot print, as I'll be playing DAYZ.

Fraps will not work even with the overlay turned off with TS. CTD every time with BF3

Your options are extremely limited (almost nonexistent) ... mainly because you insist on using TS Overlay...

you can use xsplit. it feeds right into live services like justintv, twitch, own3d, etc. and then you can grab it from their site.

theres a free version that isnt that good. but it can capture screen regions. I believe you need to upgrade to paid for it to grab fullscreen games so if youre looking to cap games you would have to either play in windowed mode or upgrade. I use it when playing LoL but I havent taken the time to configure the kinks to make it work with my system specs

Yea, I had a feeling that would be the case. Guess we were asking to much for in-game voip from EA. Well when folks are up to speed on PS2 and maybe get an outfit going I won't need TS and can crawl back to fraps.

Buy a used cheap Second Monitor, Loads of relief.
No need for Overlays, and a whole second screen to look at stuff while you play!

PS2 has a record feature built in under the social tab.
