Thread: Here's the new me. What do you think?

As some of you know I have been dealing with setup issues on and off for almost a year. So piece by piece, I have built my first system. The TPG community has helped me out so much with this I feel like I owe you a big thank you. Also let me know what you think of some of my basic specs. Remember I'm a noob in training so any info or pointers are appreciated.


Just installed a MSI Z77A-G41 mother board, it supports crossfire, has some gen 3 PCIe slots 6gbs sata. The best thing I like is the bios, very user friendly! Even for me. It has a OC genie that I like.

I'm using my 8 core i7 2600 3.40 ghz that the bios says is pushing out 3.80 ghz at 48 c

for graphics I have a ATI radeon HD 6800 also MSI brand.

for power I have a 850w thermaltake PSU

8 GB of ram (is this my weak point)

1 TB of HD

All in a Thermaltake case
