Thread: trouble with xp pro

XP PRO (2002)




I put a fresh install of XP PRO (2002) on a computer for my mother. I have my wireless card hooked up and works fine except when I go to a page it loads but crashes shortly after. So I figured the I.E. is old and not supported but cant stay on the net long enough to upgrade it. I also tried to run windows update and wasn't able to. It sends me to the site which I am unable to do anything from there. I also tried to DL from another computer to cd then load on the one i'm working on and I keep getting errors at the end of the DL. Any help would be great.

what do you mean when you say the wireless nic works fine?

i would check the drivers for it.

wireless USB adapter, it claims it is up to date. I will check again.
