vid card help / advice

Do you have another graphics card you can put in to test? Can you put your graphics card into that Dell to see if it works there?

Eliminate the graphics card before moving on to the motherboard.

You can try clearing the CMOS.

Also, do you hear a beep or series of beeps at start up?

sad part is i had a bad power supply do the same thing

mine is starting to go again to get mine to boot i have to unplug it from the wall with the power switch on
till the red light goes out then plug it back into the wall then hit the start switch then it boots up

mine will not beeb or anythnig but the lights and fans will start under the fail condition even the green lights on the
motherboard

aye thats whats making me wonder to since the mouse and keyboard arnet lighting up and sometimes when i flick the switch the green light flickers then comes on if only there were a way to narrow it down i think i'm gonna have to land up taking it to a shop after x mas but try everything i can think of till then

i was hoping i could do that but the vid card slot of the dell looks way to small and not the right kinda hook up coming out of the power supply

ok so probably gonna pull the trigger on a vid card purchase tomorrow so 5770 2 gig is a bit dated what would be a step up but not over 200 ( 250 max $) and where else besides best buy should i shop so i can see if the city has that sorta store
