01-01-13, 09:27 AM #1Looking to offload a video card.
So after my upgrade to a 7870, I have a GTX 560 2GB laying around. I've used it for the past year and a half but have taken very good care of it, and it still runs the way it did when I first got it. Other than a bit of wear on the PCB where the heatsink was unable to keep heat away (mostly cosmetic), the fan, heatsink, and transistors are all in good condition.
I also have the original box that came with it, as well as the original SLI bridge, DVI-VGA adapter, and Molex connector in their original packagings that I'll offload with the video card.
Unfortunately, I'm looking to get a little money out of this deal. The output of this video card is approximately that of the GTX 650 Ti which retails at minimum for $150. However, the 650 Ti only has 1GB of VRAM, while this video card has 2GB, so I want to set the price at $120 given its used nature. Of course, if you think it's worth less, feel free to let me know.

That is a pretty good deal, actually.

Alundil had to back out. I'm still looking to TPG members initially, so I'll extend my offer until the morning of January 6th.

Alright, so I've hit a bit of predicament here. During the installation of an old game that I was installing via its discs, the disc caused the system to hang up and blue screen. I figured at this point that something was wrong with my hard drive firmware, and there was, so I did an update, and now my Windows 7 installation is completely bricked. I have access to a copy of the Windows 7 installation CD, but it chooses to completely ignore its existence. I also don't have the money to buy a new copy of Windows 7/8, and have no way to install Windows XP to buy an upgrade version instead.
So I have two options now:
Give up on trying to get a copy of Windows 7, and thus my gaming PC, and just use my laptop in the meantime
Or
Get this video card sold somewhere, here preferably, and use the funds from that to buy a retail full version of Windows 7
Otherwise, I'm still giving you guys until this coming Monday morning before I move on."In matters of style, swim with the currents... in matters of principle, stand like a rock."

Looking to offload a video card.
Microsoft is still selling windows 8 upgrades for 15 bucks. Check out lifehacker.com and hardocp.com for details. You can full install the upgrade, I did. All I did was say my purchase date was in November and based on my email and phone number it gave me the $15 discount price.
Windows 8 is essentially windows 7 you just have to disable the metro ui and install the start menu via start8 or a similar program.
If you have trouble getting windows 8 for 15 bucks message me and I can talk you through it over the phone. I did it successfully on 5 computers all hand built.
$15 is way better than paying close to $100 for windows 7.

Re: Looking to offload a video card.
You can make your own CD. Here's some some official download links for the different versions of Windows 7. You'll need your CD key, though, so don't trash your other disk (it's usually either in the book or on the CD itself -- or possibly on a sticker on your case somewhere).
