AM 3 Socket vs AM 3+ ?
Can a CPU fan and heatsink designed to fit an AM 3 socket fit an AM 3+?
AMD FX 8150 fits an AM 3+ Socket.
The stock fan just isn't cutting it, I have the fan at 100% 3300 RPMs once the CPU hits 20 degrees because that puppy is cookin' some bacon.
I always hit around 65 C with BF3 or Skyrim running, but to day I was doing a download and getting the temp warning. Don't really want my CPU hitting 72 C.
Thought about since I put the rig together, it's time to just fucking do it before I'm cooling it with a fire extinguisher.

This is the fan I've had my eye on but the kink is it fits a number of sockets, ie AM 3, but AM 3+ is not listed. I know the difference has to do with the pin count, I just want to be reassured. I mean if AM 3 heatsinks fit AM 3+, then why do other fans details list the AM 3 and AM 3+, but the fan I want doesn't?Dispatch the DooM
